FAQs

Becoming a seller on Encore is a quick, two-step process! You can initiate the process by creating an account on the Encore app and then clicking the create a listing button (green circular button with a plus sign) on the home screen. From there, you'll need to verify your identity via Stripe Identity verification, and then create or sign into your Stripe account (so that we can pay you!).

Buyers can follow any seller on Encore. Sellers who post engaging content or good deals will likely find it easy to gain followers. Another highly effective strategy is for sellers to repost their Encore listings to other social media sites like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, or Twitter. Adding your Encore username to your video will help potential buyers on other social media sites find you on Encore!

Video listings with seller voiceover sell more than 50% faster, on average, in a 30 day period compared to non-video listings. Videos create trust and provide an engaging, easy experience for shoppers. For sellers, it's a great way to differentiate your products by taking control of their presentation!

Credit or debit cards, Apple Pay (IOS devices), or Google Pay (Android devices)

Encore is partnered with Stripe to offer secure seller payouts. Sellers are paid out 10 calendar days after an item is purchased. This may vary depending on the size of sellers - please reach out if you think you may qualify for faster payouts.

Sellers set their own shipping cost when they create a listing. Buyers pay this shipping price, and we ask sellers to ship the item within 2 business days of the item’s sale. Sellers are responsible for purchasing and creating their own shipping label from their desired shipping carrier and for inputting the shipping carrier and tracking ID number onto Encore, which is automatically forwarded to the buyer. We are working on building a full shipment dashboard for sellers, which will be coming soon! Transactions may be canceled if a seller has not shipped the item within 4 business days of a purchase and has not reached out to notify Encore of a delay.

Encore chargers a 7% transaction fee to the seller, which is applied to the sold price of an item and shipping price when it sells. The seller does not pay a payment processing fee. The Stripe payment processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 is charged to the buyer and applies to the subtotal (item price, shipping, sales tax)! We are proud to offer some of the lowest seller fees around.

All purchases on Encore are final. This is to maintain the integrity of the marketplace and establish trust between buyers and sellers. If there is a problem with your order, please contact one of our customer support team members.

General returns are not currently accepted on Encore. In the future we plan to empower sellers to offer returns at their discretion but do not currently offer this feature. If there is a problem with your item, you may be eligible for a refund. Please contact our customer support team if there is a problem with your item.

Encore works hard to protect its buyers. All sales are final, but Encore may issue a refund to buyers if an Encore support specialist determines that the item is significantly different from the item shown in the video listing. Encore may ask buyers to ship Encore their item to inspect it. You can initialize this process by contacting an Encore customer support team member. In order to be eligible for a refund, buyers must contact support within 24 hours of receiving their item. Refunds are credited back to the account that made the purchase, which will be received within 2-3 business days after an Encore support team member approves the refund.

Encore works hard to protect its sellers. Sellers are not responsible for chargebacks and will be paid for a sale of their item unless: the item is fake or counterfeit in any way, the item is significantly different from how it was shown and/or described in the listing, the item purchased was not the item sent, or the item was damaged in transit due to improper packaging. In these events, an Encore support team member will review information collected from both the buyer and seller, and Encore will make a balanced decision. Decisions will be weighted based on users' track record on both Encore or other platforms.
